Carlson Sign was established in Bend, Oregon in 1948 by Ted and Irene Carlson. Ted died 18 months later, but Irene continued to operate the business until 1968, when her son Dick Carlson took the helm. The Carlsons worked hard to provide high quality sign and billboard advertising solutions for their customers. They were successful and outgrew the initial facility. In 1976 they relocated their business to its current location and expanded that facility as well.

Since 1997, Carlson Sign has been operated by Peter Carlson, grandson of its founder. Under Peter's leadership Carlson Sign has continued to bring exceptional value and innovation to their customers and employees, and the local community as well.
